Cqg has completed a software licensing agreement with Hsbc to make Cqg’s advanced trading front ends available to Hsbc’s customers. This addition connects traders to futures in a range of asset classes. Exchange access via Hsbc Futures extends from the Asia-Pacific region to European and North American markets. Through Cqg, Hsbc’s customers and internal trading desks can now route orders to these exchanges using Cqg Trader and Cqg Integrated Client.

In other news, Cqg has connected its hosted exchange gateways to the Osaka Securities Exchange (Ose) J-Gate derivatives trading platform. J-Gate is accessible to Cqg customers worldwide via Cqg Integrated Client or Cqg Trader. Nissan Century will be Cqg’s first Fcm partner using J-Gate to provide clearing services.

Cqg has connected to the Tokyo Commodity Exchange (Tocom), the largest of Japan’s commodity futures exchanges. Cqg’s high-speed connectivity follows their hosted direct market access to the Ose. Tocom is part of its efforts to provide traders with broad coverage of Japanese exchanges. Cqg’s connections gives customers the ability to execute strategies on a range of Japanese markets.

Finally, Cqg announced that Metrixx360 has connected to Cqg’s market data servers and hosted Exchange gateways via Cqg’s data and trading Apis. This expands Cqg’s fixed-income offering and enables Cqg Integrated Client users to quote, chart, and model Metrixx360 information in the existing suite of Cqg functions. Traders can also utilize Cqg’s server-side spreader and new server-side aggregation to increase their liquidity pools.

Commission-free trading currently applies to the first five FactorShares 2x products: S&P500 Bull/TBond Bear, TBond Bull/S&P500 Bear, S&P500 Bull/Usd Bear, Oil Bull/S&P500 Bear, and Gold Bull/S&P500 Bear. Interactive Brokers has agreed to waive the flat-rate and cost-plus brokerage commissions for transactions in FactorShares Etfs and will not impose short-term trading fees.

A new exchange traded fund (Etf) based on the NasdaqOmx Cea Smartphone Index (Nasdaq: Qfon) has begun trading on Nasdaq under the symbol Fone. The Etf provides a way for investors to take advantage of the positive trends that are shaping the smartphone industry. The NasdaqOmx Cea Smartphone Index was introduced in April 2010 as a benchmark for the telecommunications sector focused on wireless mobile devices with advanced communications functionality.

SunGard has increased the coverage of Astec Analytics Lending Pit, its browser-based market access solution for securities finance professionals, with the Lending Pit XL add-in, which gives users access to more than six years of historical daily securities lending market data. The Lending Pit XL helps market participants leverage a larger pool of rebate/fee and loan information volume, giving greater transparency when maximizing securities lending spreads in a market that can feature widely divergent rebate rates and fees.

In other news, SunGard has enhanced its Stream post-trade derivatives solutions. Fxdd has launched Fxdd iTrader and Fxdd droidTrader, free mobile foreign exchange trading apps for the iPhone and the Android markets.
