NEW -- Using its new charting technology, Prophet Information Services has introduced interactive charting on its Web site. ProphetCharts is a Java-based charting system giving users access to stock, index, fund and futures charts at no charge. Users can draw trendlines, zoom in and out, or compare stocks.
Charting features at the Web site include a custom symbol menu, a choice of technical analysis indicators, a detachable chart window, and an easy chart comparison function.
In other news, a new technology in its ProphetDirect data service allows users of popular charting software, such as SuperCharts, MetaStock, TradeStation, Window on WallStreet and Wall Street Analyst, to retrieve data from Prophet Information Services directly.
Prophet Information Services offers US stock data back to 1968, mutual fund data back to 1988, index data back to 1910 and futures data back to 1959. Prices begin at $14.95 per month.

Multiple time frame program adds new features in 32-bit release
UPGRADE -- Fibonacci Trader Corporation is set to release version 3.0 of its Fibonacci Trader multiple time frame program, now in 32-bit and with major improvements.
Enhancements include backtesting facilities, which are fully explained in the new manual; compatibility with additional data vendors (including DTN Real-time Financial and S&P ComStock); compatibility with Internet data suppliers (PC Quote, S&P ComStock, BMI, Signal, Reuters Select Data Feed Plus); and compatibility with any data provider that uses a Townsend Analytics server. (The Townsend server collects intraday data, so any ticks you may have lost can be updated.)
As for other Fibonacci Trader program improvements, you can now create divisions to separate your portfolios for stocks or commodities, and the line tools can now be edited, changed color, moved or resized.
The update costs $50 ($75 overseas) for current users and includes a thorough user manual.
