Traders Software launches Java-based signals for stocks, indices, and futures

NEW -- Traders Software Co. launched its new online Java-based ETS Chart Signals for stocks, indices, and futures. The company's new Website for this product, www.stock-trading.com, features a demo of the ETS System written in the Java language.

The charts generate buy and sell signals with arrows for the selected securities. Java technology makes the ETS System's signals instantly accessible to all online subscribers without the need for additional charting software and end-of-day data. All that is needed is a Web browser. The user can select from thousands of symbols in the portfolio and the buy and sell signals instantly appear on the chart along with price data and selected indicators. The charts are "active," since they are actually running on the user's machine. The data can be scrolled, the system backtested, and the time frame can be changed from daily to weekly.

The program also comes with a toolbox with popular technical indicators, such as stochastic, MACD, RSI, and others. The company has plans to take the chart signals real-time for intraday traders and add mutual fund data in the first quarter of year 2000.

The full version of the ETS Chart Signals, which are updated nightly for thousands of stocks, indices, and futures, is available by subscription. ETS is a 100% mechanical trading system and has been ranked by the Futures Truth Co. of Hendersonville, NC.

ETS is a registered CTA and software developer, publishes the ETS Real-Time and Nightly Advisories, and owns and operates TradersRadio.com.

Omega Research to launch TradeStation.com and WindowOnWallStreet.com

FYI -- Omega Research, a provider of real-time investment analysis tools for the active trader, announced plans to launch www.TradeStation.com, a streaming real-time decision support portal for active traders.

TradeStation.com will integrate the streaming real-time data capabilities of the recently acquired Financial Data Cast Network with a new browser-based version of Omega Research's TradeStation software. TradeStation uses intraday and daily price, volume, and other event-related movements in the securities markets to allow traders to create custom trading strategies; backtest the historical profitability of those strategies; and then automate those strategies to generate real-time buy and sell signals.

TradeStation.com will deliver all the functionality of TradeStation along with fully integrated streaming real-time market information for one monthly fee.

The site is designed to provide value to visitors, but only subscribers will have full access to the portal's wide array of content, educational tools, community forums, and, of course, the TradeStation software.

In other news, Omega Research has also announced the launch of WindowOnWallStreet.com as a more basic-level tool for traders. Both TradeStation.com and WindowOnWallStreet.com will offer streaming real-time quotes, charts, and news, but TradeStation.com will also process and translate real-time data into user-defined, executable trading strategies.
