CSI adds new features to its data service

UPDATE -- CSI announces the availability of several new components to the Unfair Advantage (UA) market analysis and data warehousing and retrieval system. CSI currently supplies data to all world futures and options markets, and offers data on 28,000 international stocks, funds, and indices for a one-time license fee and monthly rates ranging from $12 to $73.

The new components allow you to: 1) write your own trading system software; 2) chart any world futures market in any currency in local trading units or in total contract value; 3) track any US CFTC-regulated market showing commercial trader interests versus smaller trader interests; and 4) gain access to stock, fund, and index data proportionately adjusted for dividends, capital gains, and splits.

Write your own trading system software -- CSI has developed a market-scanning tool that, in just a few seconds, can examine a portfolio of thousands of stocks for technical directional movement. With this new module, you can easily convert your pet analytical trading approach into computer code by using the mainstream languages of PERL and BASIC. The tools are easy to use and plenty of examples are provided to minimize start-up time and get online with your favorite system. CSI supplies a library of analytical functions.

Chart world futures markets -- You don't need to avoid trading a foreign market just because you don't understand the foreign currency or market units of grams or watt-hours. Charting any world futures market in any currency in local trading units or in total contract value is possible with UA's new charting capability. This new facility allows a user to assess the risk of trading Japanese dried cocoons, for example, as though the trades were made in dollars per contract or dollars per kilogram instead of yen per kilogram. Before requesting a chart, the user simply chooses the currency, contract pricing, or pricing per bushel, bale, or gram.

Tracking Commitments Of Traders (COT) data released by the US government -- CSI now supplies Steve Briese's COT data and indices with any applicable chart. Simply ask for the COT study with any commodity, whether you are attempting to go with or against strong commercial interests.

Adjusted stock, fund, and index data -- Many traders of stock data avoid accounting for stock splits, dividends, and, if applicable, capital gains before viewing historical data for a given market because they use a service that cannot or will not make the necessary adjustments. With the latest release of UA, all such payouts to investors can be taken into account without risking that the series will move into historical negative territory by setting UA's proportional adjust switch. The data will be in a form that is most suitable for analysis, and contract risk is easily understood. Though this feature is popular with CSI users, most data services don't offer proportional adjustments for stocks.
