MY ESIGNAL

Addressing the growing audience of active investors who need economical access to reliable, real-time streaming quotes, Data Broadcasting Corporation has launched My eSignal. The new customizable Java-based quote service provides real-time streaming quotes, specialized trading information, news, charts and more, all in a browser-based format.

Through a real-time streaming quotes Java applet and a Web page containing specialized trading information, My eSignal offers customers information to facilitate successful trading, including news, commentary, research, market data, charts and links to valuable trading tools in a simple Web interface. Customers can access research on thousands of companies from Baseline and MarketGuide. Users can create historical charts and apply studies such as moving averages, stochastics, and Bollinger Bands. In addition, they can also follow market gainers, losers, volume leaders, breaking and market-moving headlines and stories, as well as in-depth market analysis from CBS MarketWatch. SEC filings through the SEC EDGAR reports and IPO reports are also available, as is a weekly IPO calendar from Net Earnings.

My eSignal runs on any operating system, including Windows, Macintosh, Unix, and Linux.

This product delivers streaming, real-time financial data over the Internet using Active-Push technology to continuously update quotes at the user's workstation. Unlike many other real-time Web-based products that only provide momentary real-time snapshot quotes, My eSignal will display each individual trade as it occurs. Because the service is directly connected to exchanges, it offers fast delivery of quotes. In addition, My eSignal offers online customer service through Live Rep and an online chat service for users.

ONLINE FUTURES TRADING

XPRESSTRADE, an Internet-based futures brokerage firm located in the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Center, has introduced a lower rate structure, including rebates, for active, self-directed futures traders.

By taking advantage of technology efficiencies, XPRESSTRADE has reduced its standard commission rate to $11 per futures contract per side. The new structure rewards active traders with special price discounts when certain volume thresholds are surpassed. Rebates are retroactive in the sense that once traders reach and surpass predefined volume targets, the lower commission rates apply to all of their futures trades for the month, not just to the trades that exceed the threshold. Special discounts are also received when traders use market orders, as opposed to stop and limit orders, to enter and offset futures positions. Active traders of the all-electronic contracts, such as the various E-mini contracts, are eligible for additional commission rebates. Used together, traders may reduce their commission rates to as low as $8 per futures contract if certain criteria are met.

WORLD CUP CHAMPIONSHIP OF STOCK & OPTIONS TRADING

Robbins Trading Company and LaSalle St. Securities have announced the 2000 World Cup Championship of Stock and Options Trading, to be held October 2 to December 29, 2000. The competition is a prelude to three separate trading championships for stocks, futures, and options in 2001.

Robbins has sponsored the World Cup Championship of Futures Trading since 1984. The structure of the stock and options trading contest will be similar to that of Robbins Trading's established futures competition: real-time trading, with real money, for prizes. At stake in the World Cup Championship series will be approximately $2 million in cash and prizes (based on 500 entrants), plus bull and bear trophies. Only contestants in voluntary cash pools will vie for cash prizes.

The 2001 WCC schedule includes separate contests in futures, stock, and options categories. Account minimums are set at $15,000 for the futures contest and $25,000 for the stock and options events. Contestants can enter at any time during the contest period. Online commissions rates of $25 for futures and stock trades and $27.50 for options trades (plus $2 per contract) will apply. LaSalle St. Securities, a correspondent broker/dealer of National Financial Services, will act as broker for the equities competitions. Current 2000 World Cup Championship of Futures Trading standings are posted at https://www.robbinstrading.com.

THESTREET.COM ANALYST AWARDS 2000

TheStreet.com has completed an analyst survey to help investors evaluate equity analysts' skills in stockpicking. Ballots were distributed to approximately 3,000 investment professionals, allowing them to vote for the top analysts in more than 80 industry categories. This survey combines both qualitative and quantitative performance measures. To arrive at the quantitative measure, TheStreet.com evaluated the accuracy of each analyst's ratings of stocks over a 12-month period, working with data from I/B/E/S International, a global financial information-services and technology company, to measure the analysts' stock-picking skills. The two measures were combined for a ranking that is intended to be more meaningful than either a popularity contest or a simple grid of results.

A complete list of winners in all categories can be found on TheStreet.com Website. Over the next year, TheStreet.com will focus on a specific sector each week on its site and interview winning analysts on their outlook and stock picks.

MG FINANCIAL GROUP'S ADVANCED TRADING PLATFORM

Dealing 24 hours a day and all over the world, foreign exchange trading never rests. Unfortunately, most traders do not have the ability to watch the markets continuously around the clock, so trading prospects can be missed.

MG Financial Group's advanced trading platform offers several tools to help its clients plan out their strategies and have the MG dealing desk execute them while the traders are away from their computers. No matter at what time of the day or night a trading possibility occurs, the if-done orders service offer traders the ability to take advantage of these opportunities.

An if-done order is planned in advance but only activated upon execution of another order. In other words, it's an order that's sequentially activated, not by a rate but by the execution of another order upon which it is contingent. For example, you can leave an order to buy yen at 106, "if done" then to sell yen at 105.50, specifically in that sequence. An if-done order will only become active when the order it is attached to is executed.

Deal Station 2000 offers easy-to-use features such as the if-done order and OCO, which can accommodate more flexible trading strategies.

REAL-TIME INTEGRATED ECN LIMIT ORDER BOOK COMBINING ISLAND/ARCHIPELAGO DATA

3DStockCharts.com provides a continuous portrayal of stock market buy and sell orders in a colorful three-dimensional graphic format. 3DStockCharts.com has taken further steps toward true ECN limit order integration by combining buy/sell data from two of the largest electronic communications networks (ECNs), Island ECN and Archipelago ECN.

By turning its central focus toward the integration of limit-order data from two of the nation's leading ECNs, the 3DStockCharts is helping the investment industry move closer to a truly egalitarian marketplace. 3DStockCharts provides investors an immediate read regarding the buy and sell pressures that lie behind current stock pricing, providing insight into pricing trends not apparent simply by tracking a quoted price. 3DStockCharts allows investors to see the action behind the quote by showing, in real time, the number and size of buy/sell orders that are lining up for any of thousands of publicly traded stocks. By viewing this continually updated data, investors can get a better sense of the buy/sell pressures influencing a particular stock price, making them better informed about when to complete a transaction.
