ELWAVE 7.0 Adds Elliott Wave Time Frames

Prognosis Development Software has added Elliott wave time frames to its Elwave 7.0 package. This means the wave degrees, which are the result of the analysis of Elwave as listed in the summary inspector, are inserted where they belong according to the Elliott wave principle.

Instructing Elwave to analyze 100 years of Dow Jones price data will produce an outcome with waves of the largest degree, better known as "Supercycles." Analyzing an intraday chart containing price data of several weeks will find the smallest Elliott wave patterns, which forecast price movements of 1% or less. These will be listed in the summary inspector.

Trading Software Offers Automatic Order Execution Interface

AbleSys Corp. announced it has begun supplying an automatic order execution interface that connects its mechanical trading system, eASCTrend 6.0, with online broker Interactive Brokers.

The interface transfers a customer's buy and sell signals generated by eASCTrend 6.0 to his or her account with Interactive Brokers. For institutional users such as brokers and fund managers, the software is available in the Professional configuration, which allows fully automatic order execution. For individual traders, the interface is available as an option in a semi-automatic configuration that requires only one click to send the order. This configuration, called the Deluxe Plus with the automatic order execution (AOE) option, works with position trading, swing trading, or daytrading.

The AOE interface with Interactive Brokers is available to current and new users of eASCTrend 6.0 Professional configuration and eASCTrend 6.0 Deluxe Plus configuration with the AOE option. Current customers may download the software with no extra charge. For new customers, there is a basic one-month trial available for $158 with the option to add AOE with Interactive Brokers for $125.

Xspreads Levels Playing Field

OptionsXpress has introduced Xspreads to resolve obstacles to successful spread trading. Equity options spreads have long been used by professional traders to better manage their risk and reward, but for the retail investor, the process has been fundamentally unfair, as there is no real-time price transparency and market liquidity is hard to gauge, and trade execution can take hours to report.  Xspreads offers thousands of potential buyers and sellers a transparent view of all open spread trade orders. Similar to the electronic communications networks (ECNs), Xspreads is a virtual marketplace for spread trades that levels the playing field for individual investors.
