NeuroShell Trader Add-on Plots Turning Points and Fibonacci Retracement Lines
The Turning Points add-on for NeuroShell Trader is based on the concept of finding peaks and valleys in a price series, developer Ward Systems announced. The add-on contains indicators that plot straight lines from one turning point to the next, plot support and resistance lines from the peaks and valleys, compute an oscillator that shows how the current close compares to a number of previous support or resistance levels, plot horizontal Fibonacci retracement lines calculated from peak to valley or valley to peak segments, compute statistical measures (mean, median, and standard deviation) of the price differences, time differences, and slope differences between turning points in a user-defined window, and provide the probability that the current price level is at a new turning point based upon the computed statistical measures. www.neuroshell.com
Website provides program trading information
Ergo Inc. has launched a website to provide individual and institutional investors and arbitrageurs/hedge fund managers with free, comprehensive information about program trading. Program trades can produce sudden and sharp movements in the financial markets, and foreknowledge of the possibility of an adverse program trade can help investors determine the wisdom of initiating long or short positions in stocks, index futures, exchange traded funds (ETFs), and options. Each trading day, the website lists the difference between the futures and the spot index that represents over- or undervalued conditions that could trigger buy or sell programs, and provides fair value at which the futures and equity markets are in equilibrium. www.indexarb.com
