Simplifies Bond Trading For Individuals
In a move that may transform how brokerage firms disclose pricing and trading information for fixed-income securities, Fidelity Personal Investments said it would now provide individual investors with access to bond market prices as well as buy/sell tracking information for municipal and corporate bonds. The firm now offers 34 bond funds to individual investors. Fidelity has simplified its retail pricing schedule for all individual fixed-income securities, including US Treasuries, agencies, municipals, corporates, and certificates of deposit. Euronext.liffe announced it would reduce transaction fees for equity options to strengthen its equity options markets. The reductions apply to the trading of equity options in Amsterdam, Brussels, London, and Paris beginning November 1, 2004. Second, RealTick offers direct access to the Currenex multibank electronic foreign exchange network, the member banks of which now have access to tens of thousands of new customers.
