NEUROSHELL ADD-ON IS INTRODUCED

  Ward Systems Group has announced the release of the Pattern Matcher add-on for its NeuroShell Trader software. Ward Systems said that the add-on determined whether data patterns had occurred before in history, and if so, what kind of activity occurred afterward. The company added that Pattern Matcher users would also be able to be alerted if a similar pattern occurred in the future.

LEHMAN BROS. ACQUIRES TOWNSEND ANALYTICS

Lehman Brothers announced that it had acquired Townsend Analytics. Lehman said that the acquisition underscored the company's commitment to provide leading-edge execution management systems to institutional clients. The success of Townsend Analytics and its leading product, RealTick, has been predicated on its ability to provide a global, multibroker, multiasset, client-facing trading platform, Lehman said.

BIOCOMP RELEASES SOFTWARE WITH SWARM TECHNOLOGY

  BioComp Systems said that it had released BioComp Dakota, financial markets software that uses Swarm Technology to create trading signals for a range of securities. Swarm uses tradebots that adaptively seek trading system parameters that yield higher-equity performance. The Dakota software is designed for ease of use, BioComp said, enabling the user to create a swarm for a security in as few as four mouse-clicks. Dakota comes with a variety of tradebots and enables the user to create his or her own, the company added.

ONLINE BROKERAGE IS LAUNCHED

  TradeKing said it has unveiled its next generation of web-based brokerage services, with a flat fee of $4.95 for both equity and option trades, plus 65 cents per contract for options. All TradeKing customers pay the same fee, regardless of trading volume or assets. The company said its customers would be able to trade and manage a full suite of investments, including stocks, traditional options, mutual funds, exchange traded funds, bonds, and Treasuries. The platform is complemented by a comprehensive set of information tools.

ADVFN PROVIDES JAPANESE MARKET DATA

  ADVFN has announced that it is now providing users with free Japanese market data from three Japanese exchanges. Retail investors can now obtain quotes and view streaming intraday and historical charts for stocks and indexes on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, the Fukuoka Stock Exchange, and the Sapporo Stock Exchange - the latter an exchange specializing in small- to mid-cap companies. ADVFN is providing full Level 1 data including bid, offer, highs, lows, and current prices along with traded volumes. Investors can watch their stocks and indexes on their monitor pages, add them into their portfolios alongside their other investments, and set up email alerts.

COESFX PLATFORM ADDS FOREX TRADING FEATURES

  Coesfx said it had added features to its trading platform, increasing control and ease of use for retail and institutional forex traders. These features allow investors to manage their forex and spot commodity trades, the company said. The if-then orders allow users to enter an order to open a position as well as assign an order to close the position. The new one-click execution feature allows users to fill trade orders in milliseconds by clicking the bid or offer button, Coesfx added.

NYBOT LAUNCHES FINEX EURO INDEX FUTURES, OPTIONS CONTACTS

  The New York Board of Trade (NYBOT) said it has introduced Finex Euro Currency Index futures and options index contracts. The euro is one side of 37% of all foreign exchange transactions and second only to the US dollar in international use as a reserve currency, NYBOT said, adding that the Finex Euro Index represents a geometric average that tracks the value of the euro against a basket of five major world currencies: US dollar, British pound, Japanese yen, Swiss franc, and Swedish krona.

GOLDMONEY ENABLES SILVER BULLION PURCHASE ONLINE

  GoldMoney.com said that investors who want to purchase silver online can now buy and sell physical silver bullion online in the same four currencies available to customers already transacting in gold - US dollar, Canadian dollar, euro, and British pound. Purchases using US or Canadian dollars can be automatically deducted from a customer's bank account. Silver storage costs are waived through March 2006. Normal storage cost - less than 1% per year - apply beginning April 1.

LATEST VERSION OF PATTERN SEARCH SOFTWARE IS RELEASED

Tradingpatterns.com has released version 4.9 of APS Automatic Pattern Search. The new version has a function for generating a list of open positions of the trading systems saved in APS System Tracking and includes a profitability calculator tool, as well as other enhancements and minor bug fixes, the company said. Tradingpatterns.com added that technical traders can use APS to develop and analyze stock, futures and forex trading systems based on price patterns, and that the advanced functions of APS are fully automated and no programming is required. The company went on to state that the user can create trading systems using the discovered price patterns and the program can tracks the trading signals generated by them. APS can generate code automatically for implementing price patterns it discovers in other programs such as MetaStock, TradeStation, Wealth-Lab, and TeleChart.

TRADEWEB GOES LIVE WITH SWAPS, CREDIT DERIVATIVES
ONLINE MARKET

  TradeWeb announced it had gone live with its new dealer-to-customer online marketplace for US dollar-denominated interest rate swaps. TradeWeb has built a rate swaps marketplace that provides derivatives professionals with swaps market data, electronic multidealer auctions, and straight-through processing.

In other news, TradeWeb said it had launched its TradeWeb CDs, a credit default swap indexes multidealer-to-customer online marketplace. TradeWeb CDs offers institutional investors the ability to request quotes electronically from multiple dealers and move through the whole trade cycle, from trade execution to confirmation, simultaneously. The risk inherent in negotiation and settlement is eliminated by TradeWeb's Swaptracker, which enables users to execute and track trades in real-time without cumbersome paperwork. Through Swaptracker, users can process assignments and unwind trades in real-time.
