NEW TRADERSAUDIO.COM BOND BROADCASTER IS ANNOUNCED

TradersAudio.com announced that Richard Johnson would be their new broadcaster for Cbot Bonds. Johnson is broadcasting the 30-year, 10-year, and five-year bonds from the floor of the Chicago Board of Trade and broadcasting the action in the bonds pits, as well as options relating to those futures. This will allow users to listen in to real-time activity. Johnson now provides live market commentary in both open outcry and electronic trading platforms from the financial room of CBOT. This product is available for a free trial.

GLOBALTEC LAUNCHES ONLINE TV FOR STOCK TRADERS

GlobalTec said that it would be bringing online TV featuring 12 hours of live, in-the-market programming every trading day. The investment software technology company has partnered with Akamai Technologies for this venture. Dubbed Wizetrade TV, the subscription-based online TV network allows viewers to call or email in their stock picks to have them analyzed on the air by professional traders turned teachers.

SCHWAB LAUNCHES EDUCATIONAL FORUMS FOR ACTIVE TRADERS

Regional Charles Schwab Trading Forums will focus on the broad investment and financial needs of investors who trade actively. The first two, in Phoenix and Seattle, were held in the spring, and those planned for Chicago and San Jose will be held this autumn. The events are not limited to Schwab clients. These hands-on events are an element of Schwab's education and support services intended to help active traders sharpen their trading and investing skills. The forums provide participants with an opportunity to speak with Schwab and other experts, while also allowing them to meet like-minded  traders. John Bollinger gave the keynote in Phoenix and Seattle.

Online broker optionsXpress has introduced a new technical analysis charting package, Advanced Chart Patterns, which integrates real-time market data. Investors can utilize 36 chart patterns to find investing opportunities. OptionsXpress has added real-time market data chart pattern software from Recognia, which helps investors identify and act on trading opportunities quickly.

TRADINGSCREEN ADDS MARKETPLACE, INTEGRATES DATA SERVICE

TradingScreen announced that the BlockBook marketplace for trading large blocks of Canadian equities has been added to the suite of TradingScreen liquidity destinations. Perimeter Financial's BlockBook offers TradingScreen buyside clients access to an alternative liquidity source for Canadian equities.

In other news, TradingScreen said that it was now offering the integration of DirectPlus, a managed ultra-low latency direct exchange data service from Interactive Data's real-time services business. DirectPlus is designed to provide access to sub-one millisecond data from a range of sources, such as NYSE Openbook, NASDAQ Level 1, and SingleBook, ArcaBook, and Direct Edge ECN. TradingScreen can enable customers to more efficiently develop and execute their algorithmic trading strategies.
