Training Seminar Highlights Adaptive Trading Techniques

  Ward Systems Group has announced an intensive three-day seminar on artificial intelligence model development techniques to be held in Melbourne, FL, April 1?3, 2008.

The seminar will be conducted by Steve Ward, CEO and chief technical officer of Ward Systems Group, and Marge Sherald, COO of Ward Systems Group and author of many articles on artificial intelligence and trading.

Topics include theory and practical operation of neural networks, genetic algorithms, and fuzzy logic as well as ensemble estimators, chart page calculations, hedging portfolios, redundant Haar wavelets, and programming indicators in Power Basic for use with NeuroShell Trader.

PowerShares Adds To ETF Family, Portfolios

   PowerShares Capital Management announced two additions to its Dwa Technical Leaders family of exchange traded funds (ETFS), with the listing of portfolios covering developed markets outside of the US and the emerging markets. The portfolios are PowerShares Dwa Developed Markets Technical Leaders Portfolio (PIZ) and PowerShares Dwa Emerging Markets Technical Leaders Portfolio (PIE). These new Etfs and PowerShares' Dwa Technical Leaders Portfolio (PDF) make up the PowerShares Dwa Technical Leaders Family.

Winnipeg Commodity Exchange To Become ICE Futures Canada

   IntercontinentalExchange announced that its Winnipeg Commodity Exchange (WCE) subsidiary will be known as ICE Futures Canada. The new name is in line with ICE's other futures subsidiaries, ICE Futures US and ICE Futures Europe. All trading on the exchange has transitioned to the Ice electronic platform.
