Wolfram Research brought parallel computing into the mainstream by integrating automatic parallel technology into Mathematica 7. That power can be multiplied by more powerful hardware and clusters with gridMathematica 7, which extends the built-in features of Mathematica by adding extra computation kernels and automated network distribution tools, allowing users to run more tasks in parallel, over more Cpus, for faster execution without changing a line of code. Whether computations are distributed over local or remote Cpus, process coordination and management is completely automated, Wolfram said.

In other news, Wolfram Research announced that its consulting service, Wolfram Solutions, which provides cradle-to-grave solutions for business problems and technical computing needs.

Interbank FX, Dow Jones Partnership Offers Access In Four Languages

This version offers integration between order routing and analytics, spread trading, and decision-making tools. Cqg now displays up to four condition values directly on the DomTrader, the platform’s trading interface. Agora-X Offers Adds CQG Integrated Trading Software

Agora-X, Llc, announced that they had agreed to offer the Cqg Integrated Client “front end” to traders using the Agora-X electronic platform to negotiate over the counter trades in commodity and derivative contracts. The Cqg software provides a gateway for the trader’s desk to track prices, place orders (including algorithmic strategies) and execute trades in the Agora-X marketplace. The Cqg interface also delivers global market data and analytical tools for the trader.

In other news, Agora-X said it had launched an electronic platform for Otc trading in energy, metals, and other commodities. Clearing will be provided through Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
