BACK TO LISTOmniTrader Xpress trading software has all the key features that has made it so well known — it generates daily buy & sell signals and includes automatic chart patterns and automatic indicator setups to help you home in on your trade candidates, trade management features (the software allows you to trade right in the charts), and a trading simulator so you can practice before you trade. The developer, Nirvana Systems, has a special introductory offer for the first month of data free (although exchange fees apply to real-time data).
BACK TO LISTTD Ameritrade has launched a way for retail traders and investors to paper trade, or trade using simulated cash and positions. Called thinkOnDemand, the technology provides users with tick-by-tick intraday prices that can be replayed at any time — even days and weeks after occurrence — without leaving the live trading platform. It is like a digital video recorder (Dvr) for traders. Users of thinkorswim from TD Ameritrade trading platform can use it to paper trade stocks, futures, forex, and options. Because thinkOnDemand is integrated into the live trading platform, traders can also move back and forth between thinkOnDemand paper trading and live trading with a single click.
BACK TO LISTFxcm invites traders each month from around the globe to compete for the “King of the Micro” crown and a $25,000 cash prize. Thousands of traders go head to head in a competition to achieve the highest return. The high liquidity levels, low margin requirements, and 24-hour access found in currency markets have triggered an international explosion in the popularity of online forex trading.
The King of the Micro contest is part of a commitment to the established products, resources, and promotions that creates interest in this area of financial markets. Since early 2009, Fxcm has given away more than $500,000 in winnings. The rules are simple: a minimum balance of $500 in an Fxcm Micro account before the first day of each month, and make a minimum of 10 trades during the month. The trader with the highest trading returns percentage at the end of the month wins the title and the $25,000 purse. The second prize is $10,000, and the third prize is $5,000.
