FXCM TO LAUNCH NINJATRADER PLATFORM SOFTWARE

FXCMFXCM has announced the addition of the NinjaTrader trading platform to its platform offerings. Trading software provider NinjaTrader is known for its high-performance analytic and trade execution tools. Traders can begin beta testing FXCM’s integration with NinjaTrader for forex trading.

PATENT ISSUED TO SECURITIZE DIAMONDS

GemSharesGemShares said it was issued a patent that covers a grading consistency mechanism for a specialized investment grade of diamonds. The resulting products permit the construction of diamond securities, making it possible to include diamonds in an investment portfolio and offering a hedging and risk management tool for the diamond industry.

The patent covers two inventions. One is a system for generating an index/benchmark of investment-grade diamonds, while the other is for trading a collection of diamonds and gems as part of financial instruments. Allowed claims include a definition that the value or index may also depend on a futures contract, that the index can form the basis for a financial instrument, and that any type of financial instrument is covered by the system.

WSJ LAUNCHES GLOBAL VIDEO PLATFORM, UNIVERSAL APP

WorldStreamThe Wall Street Journal has launched WSJ WorldStream, a global video newsgathering and publishing platform for short-form videos shot via smartphone by journalists from across the global WSJ and Dow Jones news organization. It is available on WSJ.com and as a free web app. WSJ WorldStream consists of footage captured on smartphones utilizing the resources of more than 2,000 journalists.

In other news, WSJ announced a universal app for both iPad and iPhone, now available for free with a subscription at iTunes. The universal app now replaces two separate apps as a single download and consistent experience across both devices.

eSIGNAL UPGRADE TO EMPHASIZE EXPANDED SUITE OF PRODUCTS

eSignalInteractive Data said it was now emphasizing an expanded suite of product features and enhancements in eSignal 11.5, including a collection of top charting and tools that integrate with the trade execution of multiple brokers.
