Ward Systems Group has announced ChaosHunter 3.0 with many user-requested features. ChaosHunter is a stand-alone software tool designed to produce readable formulas to model numeric data for applications such as producing buy/sell signals for financial markets. This release allows a view of the optimization period and out-of-sample testing results while optimization is taking place. It is able to save optimization settings in a template for use with new models, such as a trading model setup that may be optimized for different stock, futures, or forex data. The new release also gives the user more control over the number of clients or processing cores used on your computer and any networked computers.
In other news, Richey Enterprises has developed a new set of price indicators called InterChart Tools 2 that generates trading signals for NeuroShell Trader. The TimeBars indicators let the creation of five-, 10-, 15-, 30-minute bars and more on a one-minute chart in NeuroShell DayTrader, the advantage being not having to wait for the higher-minute bar to complete before the TimeBar updates. The optimizer in the Trader can determine the bar size, which is most appropriate for the desired algorithm and equity. Other indicators can combine the high value from the most recent five bars, useful when the trading system is based on tick and range bars, allowing the user to de-noise high-frequency range and tick bars.

Aqumin and Option Research & Technology Services (ORATS) have released OptionVision, an integration of ORATS option analytics data and Aqumin’s three-dimensional visual interpretation system. OptionVision provides a way to view option-related data. By integrating ORATS option data into Aqumin’s interactive 3D landscapes, market participants can monitor option metrics for an underlying security across all strikes and expirations on one screen. This product includes multiple, predefined views for stocks and options. The landscapes reflect multiple variables, letting users identify changes in volume and volatility.

X-stream complies with international standards and is capable of handling equities, debt, derivatives, commodities, ETFs, and a range of other instruments on one platform. The multi-asset trading system provides flexibility in the creation of new products allowing for growth in New Zealand’s markets, including the launch of equity derivatives in 2013.
