UPGRADE -- Ward Systems Group announces Release 2 of the NeuroShell Trader program (starting at $795). The software allows you to build trading systems that combine traditional analysis techniques with neural nets for predictions.
The new release adds historical and portfolio views of the data in addition to the charts. UPDATE -- A backtesting and paper trading program for Microsoft Excel has beefed up its battery of technical indicators. Backtest Wizard 3.1 has added rate of change, relative strength index, and directional movement index to its original group, which included the force index, moving averages, and stochastics.
Rate of change measures the speed of price change. Relative strength index is a price-following oscillator that ranges between zero (oversold) and 100 (overbought). Directional movement index, also known as the ADX (average directional index) is a trend-following system. It measures the strength of up and down moves in the underlying. An integrated worksheet in Option Wizard Online, Backtest Wizard 3.1, takes the last 200 days of high-low-close and volume, analyzes for volume, trend and momentum, and returns buy and sell signals. 21ST TAG CONFERENCE FOR MARKET TECHNICIANS
