eSignal Launches Wireless e-Quotes For CME, Also Releases Version 8.0



eSignal has developed a tailored version of eSignal's QuoTrek customized streaming quote, charting, and news package called CME E-quotes Wireless, for Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) for CME users. CME E-quotes Wireless features include Quote/Portfolio Window, which lets the user view two portfolios of 15 symbols each; Charts, which displays real-time data in a line, bar, or candlestick chart; and Pricing and Availability. The new service is available to all existing CME E-quotes users.

In other news, eSignal announced that it had released the latest version of the company's software. Version 8.0 provides additional market data from global exchanges, including expanded foreign exchange and Treasury data, as well as a host of product enhancements. eSignal 8.0 includes futures information from the Dow Jones Commodities News Services, enhanced futures analytics and several new add-on studies. The updated software is available at no cost to all registered users of eSignal and eSignal Pro.

New NASDAQ Product Measures "Electronic Market Noise"

NASDAQ said it had unveiled a real-time product, NASDAQ Market Velocity, which detects the level of market activity in NASDAQ stocks and alerts traders to events before they appear in price and volume information. Market Velocity is one of four products included in NASDAQ Market Analytix that provides a new level of transparency to trading activity in NASDAQ trading systems. The other three are NASDAQ Market Forces, NASDAQ Competitive Vwap Benchmark and NASDAQ Competitive Vwap Leaders.

Everyforex.com Updates Website

EveryForex.com said that it had updated the features of its website, offering clearer navigation, more focused content, and a cleaner user interface for enhanced usability for all foreign exchange traders and retail traders.

Everyforex.com added that several well-known foreign exchange companies now provide information for the site. The updated site employs a search engine optimization strategy and cleaned-up back-end coding. The entire website was built using internal resources, tools, and expertise to enhance the forex trading users' experience.

Tradertrainer.com Launches New Concept To Trading Education

TraderTrainer said it had introduced a new concept in trading education that would prove to be useful for traders and investors. The online tool, which can be found on the website, gives the user some feedback about his or her trading performance, providing detailed insight and analysis. This web-based trading simulator allows the user to practice trading online using real securities data and then objectively grade the user's performance against hundreds, and eventually thousands, of other users. The tool is currently free of charge.

UBS To Acquire ABN AMRO Global Futures And Options

UBS announced that it would acquire the global futures and options business of ABN Amro for $386 million plus net tangible assets. This places UBS as a market leader in the futures and options industry as a global provider of execution and clearing services across multiple asset classes including commodities, equities, equity indexes, interest rates, and currencies. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2006, UBS added.

Market Technologies Releases VantagePoint Version 6.4

Market Technologies' president and chief executive officer Louis B. Mendelsohn announced that his company had released VantagePoint Intermarket Analysis Software, version 6.4. Clients of Market Technologies can now apply the software's predictive accuracy to a total of 90 markets, Mendelsohn said. These markets include the emini Standard & Poor's 500, Semiconductor Holdrs, and Streettracks Gold Trust.

New features have also been added to enhance performance and customer satisfaction, Mendelsohn concluded.

DTN Launches SupplyCast, Predicts Impact Of Hurricanes On Oil And Natural Gas

DTN announced that it had launched DTN Hurricane SupplyCast (HSC), a new trading solution that combines tropical weather forecasts with engineering models to offer long- and short-term supply impact forecasts for the natural gas and oil industry. From offshore production to refining capacity, DTN's HSC delivers production and supply predictions to help make trading decisions, the company added. HSC covers platforms, offshore pipelines, refineries, ports, and terminals, and supply forecasts are made up to five days before a hurricane hits, and forecasts the impact for the next 365 days.

Ubmatrix Launches xBReeze Open Source Edition

  At the XBRL International conference in Madrid, Ubmatrix announced the launch of xBReeze, an online platform dedicated to XBRL-based data exchange.
UBmatrix will offer complimentary use of its software products to open-source taxonomy project teams via the new hosted software service, xBReeze Open Source Edition.

xBReeze was due to launch on June 30, 2006. xBReeze Open Source Edition supports standards committees, academic groups, or any team of domain experts that wish to design and publish XBRL taxonomies.
