NEW VERSION OF DTNIQ RELEASED

MOBILE HANDHELD TRADING DEVICE

INTERACTIVE LEARNING TOOLS FOR CANDLESTICKS

  Matheny Enterprises has released the PFP 1.0 Lite application, targeted to new traders and beginning candlestick users. PFP 1.0 Lite is very similar to PFP 1.0, but includes a limited library of candlestick patterns. 

The Lite application was developed at the request of users who have purchased books and videotapes on learning candlestick charting, then needed software to further their training. This application provides an interactive learning environment for candlesticks as well as a professional charting/analysis tool that can be used with current market data.

ALTERNATIVE DATA DOWNLOADING FOR

METASTOCK AND TRADESTATION

Prophet Financial Systems announced an upgrade to its ProphetDirect service. ProphetDirect provides an alternative to the data services bundled with some of the various software packages. 

Rather than providing special, new downloading software, the service allows investors substantial savings on their recurring data fees simply by redirecting the downloader built into their software packages to ProphetDirect. Investors can access historical stock data starting from 1968, worldwide futures from 1959, plus data on options, mutual funds, and indices, and they can maintain their local databases with end-of-day updates.

REAL-TIME DAYTRADING INFORMATION

Datek Online Financial Services has begun displaying real-time daytrading buying power so investors can more easily comply with new regulations that recently became effective. The new regulations provide leverage of up to four to one for those who daytrade on margin. Leverage for overnight buying power remains two to one. 

In addition, Datek introduced a new order-entry interface designed to decrease the time required to enter an order. The new order entry window floats on the desktop, enabling investors to enter equity orders simply by typing a few keystroke commands. This is a departure from the practice of toggling between browser windows, using dropdown menus or clicking a mouse. Datek also has introduced an order bank window, which enables its customers to prepare several orders and then send them to the marketplace at the appropriate time with a single click. 

Datek has also begun a limited rollout of a new Streamer quote service applet that delivers real-time, streaming news from Dow Jones and Reuters. The service is expected to be available to all Datek customers in 2002.

TRADING SOLUTIONS 2.0 RELEASED

  TradingSolutions 2.0 from NeuroDimension, Inc., is a Windows program that combines technical analysis with artificial intelligence technologies. Version 2.0 is significantly more advanced than its predecessor. 

Among the many features included in version 2.0, Solution Service is a free service that provides users with daily trading signals from several of NeuroDimension's neural network models, as well as stock data and commentary for those models. XPRESSTRADE INTRODUCES DYNAMIC QUOTES

XpressTrade has launched Dynamic Quotes, a new tool for self-directed, retail futures traders. Dynamic Quotes is a Java-based, real-time, streaming quotewatch product that is customizable. 

It allows futures traders to create multiple quote portfolios and to select the column headings to display. Price Alerts notify customers by e-mail when predefined upper or lower price targets have been triggered in the futures markets they're tracking. Full integration with the rest of the Xpresstrade system allows traders to move quickly from Dynamic Quotes to pre-completed order entry screens.
