SocialTrade.com

Review by Jayanthi Gopalakrishnan

With the rise in popularity of social networks, it is nice to see that traders are not being left behind. SocialTrade.com, a social media site for traders developed by Tim Knight (founder of Prophet.net, now owned by Ameritrade, and creator of ProphetCharts), is a place where you can organize and share your charts, articles, and anything with other traders. You could call it a virtual bulletin board where you organize and stack all your thoughts about the market. You can create a user profile and include various custom “stacks” that you can share with other social traders.

Browsing the stacks is relatively simple. You can browse by category, popularity, searching, social traders, or ticker symbol. Another option is to view the most recent stacks. For example, you can opt to browse stacks by category and then select from various options. Say you choose the analytics options. This is further divided into analogs, breadth, correlation, divergences, and so forth. I decided to click on breadth and came up with a page displaying several posts by users. You can see a part of contents of this page in Figure 1.
