TD Ameritrade Launches Trading Tools, Services On Apple App Store

TD AmeriTrade, with software developers iStockManager and iPTrader, announced that mobile trading applications for iPhone and iPod touch are now available on the Apple App Store. The new applications provide TD AmeriTrade clients with customization and mobile flexibility in managing investments. These apps link to TD AmeriTrade’s order routing and back-office management systems. Clients can access account details, real-time quotes, market data, news and technical analysis tools from their iPhone or iPod touch, and can use these apps while still receiving TD AmeriTrade support, order routing, and execution capabilities.

CQG Expands Trading Connectivity

Cqg and NH Investment & Futures entered into a global agreement for Cqg to provide trading connectivity to the Cme Group, Ice US, Krx, Nymex/Comex, and Sgx exchanges. This partnership will allow NH to offer Cqg’s professional trading software to clients and traders in the US, Europe, Australia, and Asia. Evaluation, Technical Analysis Tool Update Released

Hamilton Software’s Fundwatch 8.0 is a securities evaluation and market analysis tool, used by investors, traders, and money managers to compare mutual funds, stocks, exchange traded funds (Etfs), or other investments, and apply technical indicators to make trading decisions. Fundwatch can download price-volume data for securities, compare and rank performance and volatility, measure trends and momentum, and provide buy/sell indications. Graphics can superimpose technical indicators on several securities on the same chart. Version 8.0 adds a quote streamer, new tools, and reports, and allows a user’s own data to be imported from text files. A free trial is available.

This program will facilitate development and distribution of brokers’ proprietary algorithms to customers, along with integration with the company’s Order Management System for management and execution of orders. Dow Jones-AIG Commodity Indexes Licensed to Eurex

Dow Jones Indexes announced the licensing of the Dow Jones—Aig Commodity Index and its nine sector subindexes to Eurex to underlie standardized exchange-traded futures and options contracts. Eurex plans to launch derivatives in the first quarter of 2009. This is the first time the nine DJ Aig Commodity Sub-Sector Indexes will serve as the basis for futures and options contracts.

Barchart Launches Website for Institutional Clients

Barchart.com has launched a new Barchart Market Data Solutions business-to-business (B2B) focused website. The website highlights the main institutional services and features B2B solutions offered by various divisions of Barchart.

In other news, Aqumin, a financial services company specializing in getting large-scale complex financial data into a single, easy-to-interpret visual environment, has entered into an agreement with the Digital Data Feed (Ddf) division of Barchart.com to provide real-time pricing data. Aqumin’s flagship product, AlphaVision, will be released to the market during the fourth quarter of 2008.

Drummond Releases New Software, Website, Forum

Drummond Geometry has undertaken a major overhaul, updating its software, and launched a new website and a new online version of its flagship market analysis training program. The website offers free downloads of articles and book segments on Drummond Geometry trading, free trading lessons, and trader self-evaluation tools. eSignal has released eSignal OnDemand software, a value-priced charting application with end-of-day market data and delayed intraday snapshots with no exchange fees. OnDemand offers eSignal research tools; advanced charting with analytics, backtesting, ability to program customized studies; plus standard eSignal products. OnDemand will tap into eSignal’s set of tools for monitoring stocks, futures, pink sheets, mini futures and forex. The eSignal platform gives subscribers access to the world’s largest exchanges.

In addition, eSignal has released the FutureSource Workstation 3.2 platform to provide access to high-demand services. Clients can create alerts using Rss feeds from news sites and will continue to benefit from eSignal’s customer support, comprehensive training, and account managers. Current users may upgrade at no additional cost.

eSignal has also launched FutureSource Ag Workstation and LiveCharts Ag. These offerings provide traders with data and tools designed to help identify opportunities in the agriculture market. Workstation delivers real-time streaming global exchange data and advanced analytic software geared to the specialized needs of professional commodities traders. LiveCharts Ag offers a portable, online application that can be used on any browser and streams delayed futures data from more than a dozen futures exchanges. Upgrading LiveCharts Ag premium package gains access to hundreds of weather maps from Wsi, Dow Jones Ag Market Commentary, and more.

And dgZoneTrader.com has released its goal-based trading software for the eSignal charting platform. dgZoneTrader displays entry, target, and stop prices for trade setups. Profit amounts are shown for each setup to simplify the task of managing risk. Beyond the basic charting package of eSignal, no other software is required to run dgZoneTrader. The software has no input parameters so it works on any chart symbol or time frame.

Finally, the Quote.com team at eSignal has redesigned RagingBull.com, where active investors can share thoughts and trading strategies using an intuitive interface. Navigating the free website is easier due to new navigation tabs and content placement as well as access to real-time quotes.
